The first public testing of 5G networks will be held in Uzbekistan as part of Mobicon 2018, a major mobile conference to take place October 11 in the country, Uzbek media reported.
In comparison with previous technologies, the promising communication standard brings the data transfer speed of hundreds of megabits per second, ensuring high speed simultaneously for millions of devices. The testing will be conducted by Beeline Uzbekistan mobile operator on Huawei equipment.
All visitors of the conference will be able to freely test the new communication standard, which should appear in Uzbekistan on a commercial basis in the medium term. Presently, residents of Uzbekistan have the opportunity to use 4G networks, which are supported in all major cities of Uzbekistan.
