Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 26

Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:

Georgia is considering the possibility of using the resources of Azerbaijan’s low Earth orbit satellite AzerSky, a source in the country’s satellite communications market told Trend Nov. 26.

The cooperation of the parties in this area is being discussed, according to the source.

“There are plans to use AzerSky's resources in agriculture and ecology,” the source noted.

The AzerSky satellite is used for remote sensing of the Earth. Within the strategic partnership between Azercosmos OJSC and Airbus Defense and Space, the Azerbaijani satellite operator also has the opportunity to use the resources of the Pleiades 1A and Pleiades 1B satellites, which allow surveying the Earth's surface.
