Assembly of the Acer computers at the Mingachevir Technopark may be curtailed, H-Tech, a resident of the technopark assembling nettops, desktops and all-in-one PCs under Acer brand, told Trend
The company noted that the consumer demand is not yet showing the desired level, and in the current year, a positive trend has not yet been observed.
"Given this fact, it is difficult to make any plans for the upcoming year. Moreover, if we take into account the current turnover, the expediency of the assembly remains in question. Negotiations with Lenovo about the deployment of computer assembly have not been successful either."
"There are expenses that need to be covered, and in this situation it is not economically feasible. If the market situation in 2019 does not change and the demand does not grow, then we will probably consider switching to another type of activity," the company said.
