The volume of revenues of Azerbaijan’s mobile operators made up 859.7 million manat ($505.7 million) from January through May 2020, Trend reports citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, the revenues of the operators increased by 4.8 percent in the reporting period compared to the same period of 2019.
The cost of information and communication services in real terms increased by 4.5 percent on an annualized basis, said the committee.
Meanwhile, 71.9 percent of the total volume of provided information and communication services accounted for the population. Thus, 79.9 percent of total revenues accounted for non-governmental organizations.
In 2019, over 2 billion manat ($1.1 billion) worth of information and communication services were provided to the population and organizations in Azerbaijan, which is 15.9 percent more compared to 2018, noted the committee.
