Azerbaijan discloses 4M2021 volume of addressed requests on cybersecurity

The number of requests related to cybersecurity in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,505 in April 2021, Trend reports citing the report of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) under the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security of the Special State Protection Service of Azerbaijan.

According to the report, 93 percent (311 requests) of the 332 open requests were reviewed and dealt with in April.

In the reporting month, based on the information security audit conducted by the CERT, 17 reports were prepared and sent to the appropriate structures.

Meanwhile, 3 government domain and 5 sub-domain names were registered in the Azerbaijani internet segment.

From January through April 2021, 16 government domain and 41 sub-domain names have been registered.

In 2020, the number of requests was 4,989, of which 97 percent were considered and satisfied. During this period, on the basis of the information security audit, 244 reports were prepared and sent to the relevant structures.

In the Azerbaijani segment of the Internet, 50 domains and 155 sub-domains were registered last year, which are usually used by organizations to create unique site names for their divisions or services.
