( Mobile ) - We don't see Asus smartphones around these parts all that much, so it's always a treat when one of these handheld computers shows up and actually gets confirmed. The Asus P750 smartphone is powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional, backed up by a Marvel 520MHz PXA27x processor and a huge host of wireless radios.
For starters, it does the usual GSM/GPRS/EDGE dance, but in addition to the standard fare, the Asus P750 also does HSDPA at 3.6Mbps, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM radio, and GPS via the SiRF III receiver. Other vitals include 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, and a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera.
Sadly, there's no QWERTY keyboard to speak of, but you get a standard keypad to make dialing a little easier. No word on price, but you can't expect this powerful unit to come cheap when it starts shipping around October.
