In April 2018, 119, 771 Iranian citizens visited Turkey, which is by 227 people more than in the same month of 2017, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism told Trend May 31.
According to the ministry, in April 2018, 4.51 percent accounted for the share of Iranian citizens in a total number of foreigners who visited Turkey compared to 5.8 percent in April 2017.
Over 2.7 million foreigners visited Turkey in April 2018.
In January-March 2018, 7.263 million foreign tourists visited Turkey.
Turkey's tourism revenues increased by 31.3 percent and amounted to $4.425 billion In January-March 2018 compared to the same period of 2017.
In January-March 2018, 76.1 percent of total profit accounted for the share of foreign citizens, while 23.9 percent - for the share of Turkish citizens living abroad.
