Chinese Jinsheng Group of companies has provided humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan in the amount of more than 1.3 billion soum ($134,380 million), Trend reports citing Uztextilprom.
Jinsheng Group, which is one of the major investors in the textile industry of Uzbekistan, joined the action of the Association Uztextilprom to fight against coronavirus and support the population of the country.
For that amount, the company has purchased protective medical masks for the population of Kashkadarya region, where the spinning plant of Jinsheng Group, LT Textile International, is located, the report said.
The Chinese company has been actively investing in Uzbekistan for several years. To date, it has invested over $150 million.
Earlier it was reported that the Chinese Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, imported to Uzbekistan more than 40 tons of raw materials for production of protective gear and masks by a charter flight.
It is expected that from this month onwards the raw materials will be supplied by rail and road transport.
