New metro stations launched in Iran’s Tehran

Two new metro stations were launched in the Tehran city the capital of Iran on December 17, Trend reports referring to the IRINN.

An event was held today in connection with the launch of facilities in several cities of Iran.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and other officials participated in the event via videoconference.

According to the report, a total of 5.42 trillion rials ($129 million) was spent on two metro stations in Tehran.

“The Amir-Kabir metro station is located on line No. 6 of the Tehran metro. About 2.7 trillion rials (about $64.3 million) was spent on the station. Of these funds, 1.5 trillion rials (about $35.7 million) was spent on the supplying of the equipment,” the report said.

According to the report, the length of Tehran Metro Line No. 6 is 38 kilometers.

"The Milad Tower station is located on line No. 7 of the Tehran metro. A total of 2.72 trillion rials (about $64.7 million) was spent on the station. The length of Tehran Metro Line No. 7 is 27 kilometers. There are 22 stations on this line," the report said.
