The volume of maritime export of goods from Azerbaijan abroad amounted to 244,638 tons from January through November 2020, which is 21.8 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the report of the country’s State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the SCC, Azerbaijan exports by the sea in the mentioned period amounted to $79.4 million, a decrease of 43.5 percent year on year.
At the same time, overall maritime cargo movement operations in Azerbaijan made up $545.3 million, showing a decrease of 35.7 percent over the year.
In the past 11 months, the volume of cargo transportation by sea amounted to 824,638 tons, which is almost 40 percent less than in the same period in 2019.
Meanwhile, import of goods by sea amounted to 580,000 tons, and in monetary terms - $465.8 million, down 34.23 percent year on year
In 11M2020, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $16.6 billion, which is 38 percent less than in11M2019. Cargo transportation was carried out in the amount of $22.7 billion, which is 25.87 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
