Turkmenistan organizes air transportation of domestic products to Turkey

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12

Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) Open Joint-Stock Company organized air transportation of plastic pipes of domestic production to Turkey in early February of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The cargo weighing 25 tons, consisting of plastic products of a local company, was sent on two flights on the route Ashgabat-Istanbul.

According to the plan, such transportation will be carried out regularly on 3-4 flights via this route.

TULM OJSC was created in order to effectively use the possibilities of international transport corridors passing through Turkmenistan, to help increase the volume of transit goods, and to develop logistics solutions for the delivery of transit, import-export cargo.

Earlier, the cargo, consisting of forty-five 40-foot containers, left for China in the direction of Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-China. The multimodal transportation was organized by TULM.

TULM OJSC is actively engaged in increasing road and rail freight traffic in Turkmenistan.

In September-October of 2020, the company facilitated the road transportion of cargo from the Afghan city of Akina via the Lapis-Lazuli Transit, Trade & Transport Route and delivery of a cargo from China to Turkmenistan via the North-South railway corridor through Kazakhstan.
