Turkey reveals 4M2021 data on cargo movement via Dikili port

Around 165,530 tons of goods were transshipped through the Turkish port of Dikili from January through April of 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period, 16,900 tons of cargo were handled via Dikili port by ships flying the Turkish flag, and 148,630 tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

“At the same time, no cargo was shipped in transit via the mentioned port,” the ministry noted.

Totally, over 124.9 million tons of cargo had been transported through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Around 9.8 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the local ports. About 115.1 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Moreover, 24.5 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period. In general, 33.8 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in April 2021.

Furthermore, 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying the Turkish flag in April 2021. At the same time, 31.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports by the ships flying the flags of other countries.

Thus, over 6.3 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in April this year.
