Ministry discloses volume of cargo transported through Turkey's Cesme port

Some 465,507 tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish Cesme port from January through April 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

Moreover, 461,476 tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying under the Turkish flag while 4,031 tons by ships flying under the flags of other countries.

“Cargoes were not transited through the Turkish Cesme port from January through April 2021,” the ministry said.

Thus, 124.9 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Some 9.8 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the local ports.

About 115.1 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Moreover, 24.5 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.

Some 33.8 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in April 2021.

In general, 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying the Turkish flag in April 2021.

At the same time, 31.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports by the ships flying the flags of other countries.

Some 6.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in April 2021.
