The number of passengers transported by rail In Uzbekistan in seven months of 2021decreased by 4.7 percent, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the information, from January through June 2021, 35.2 million tons of goods were transported in Uzbekistan by main railway transport. It is noted that the growth rate compared to the corresponding period last year amounted to 3.5 percent.
In addition, the number of passengers transported by rail in the country during the reporting period amounted to four million, which is 4.7 percent less compared to the same period in 2020.
Earlier it was reported that the number of passengers transported by air in Uzbekistan from January to June 2021 increased by 70.9 percent compared to the same reporting period last year.
According to the committee, the number of passengers transported by air in Uzbekistan during the reporting period amounted to 1,077,000 people.
At the same time, the volume of goods transported by air amounted to 2,800 tons - an increase of 17.2 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
