BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 8.8 billion tenge ($18.4 million) from January through September 2022, which is 43 percent less than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport in September 2022 amounted to 1.1 billion tenge ($2.4 million), which is 12.7 percent more than during the same month of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 17,260 tons, which is 31.1 percent less compared to the same period of last year. The volume of cargo transported in September 2022 was 2,120 tons, which is 16 percent less than during the same month last year.
Cargo turnover amounted to 38.9 million ton-kilometers which is 30 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 412.8 billion tenge ($865.4 million) from January through September 2022, which is 34.1 percent more than during the same period of last year. September revenue from passenger transportation was 68.6 billion tenge ($143.8 million), which is 63.6 percent more than in September 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 7.9 million people, which is 15.7 percent more than during the same period of last year (1.02 million passengers in September 2022, up by 24.1 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 14.3 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 32.2 percent. The September passenger turnover was 1.9 billion (41.2 percent more year-on-year).
