BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 20. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 17.6 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
A total of 14,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port over the 11th month. Some 3,520 tons of cargo were loaded and 10,500 tons were unloaded.
Moreover, 1,050 tons of cargo were exported and about 4,590 tons were imported through the Genaveh port during the reporting month.
Within the 11th month, 2,470 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,740 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.
In addition, 2,020 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment and 7 tons were loaded and 2,180 tons were unloaded for other purposes over the 11th month.
Thus, 1,050 tons of construction materials and mining products, 10,900 tons of small and assorted products, 52 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, and 2,020 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the 11th month of the current Iranian year.
In total, approximately 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.9 million tons were loaded and 5.88 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
