ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 4. Turkmenistan has received the first of two Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft ordered under the government program for civil aviation development until 2030, Trend reports.
Turkmenistan Airlines' EZ-A781 aircraft has 368 seats, 40 of which are business class, 32 are premium economy, and 296 are economy class.
The aircraft is powered by two GE90-115BL2 engines, has a flight range of 11,390 km, and can fly long-distance international trips with a commercial load of up to 40 tons with ease.
Turkmenistan Airlines now operates four 737-700s, eight 737-800s, and four 757-200s.
Furthermore, the airline operates two Airbus 330-200 aircraft and three IL-76TD cargo planes.
Meanwhile, in June of this year, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree authorizing Turkmenistan Airlines to sign contracts for the purchase of four Boeing 737-8 aircraft, as well as trilateral contracts for the purchase of two Boeing 777-367ER aircraft with TMHCC-AIR 1 LLC and TMHCC-AIR 2 LLC.
