Three new departments will open during the next academic year at Nazarbayev University, including the School of Engineering, the School of Science and Technology, as well as the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Rector of the University Shigeo Katsu announced the plans at a press conference, Kazinform reported.
Each program is worked out in collaboration with international universities.
Nazarbayev University received first students in autumn 2010. The University has 480 students at the moment and intends some 500 more next academic year. Students have the opportunity to choose among 17 professions.
