Three people were killed and 35 injured when two buses collided in Kazakh Zhambyl region on Sunday evening, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to the regional Emergency Situations Department.
According to the Emergency Situations department, the driver of NEOPLAN passenger bus moving through the Almaty-Tashkent route lost steering control and collided with motor grader which cleaned the road. Some 5-10 minutes later Wanhool passenger bus moving through the Shymkent-Almaty route collided with the NEOPLAN bus.
"Some 3 passengers including a man from NEOPLAN bus and 17-18 year old girl and 25-30 year old woman from Wanhool bus died in the incident," the department said.
Some 19 people were hospitalized to a hospital in the city of Taraz, 16 passengers received medical assistance at the scene.
