Kazakhstan, China discuss bilateral cooperation development

Rapil Zhoshybayev, the executive secretary of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, the Commissioner of the International Specialized Exhibition "Expo-2017" met with Chinese Deputy Foreign Ministers Cheng Guoping and Si Hanshen, Director of the Administrative Department under the Foreign Ministry Li Chao and other officials during his working visit on March 18-19, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend on Wednesday.
The development of bilateral cooperation and consular work, improving visa procedures to facilitate mutual exchange and contacts in the field of tourism and business were discussed during the talks with the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The parties agreed to intensify the negotiations on an agreement on mutual allotting the land plots to construct the buildings for diplomatic missions in the capitals of the two countries.
The two sides agreed on the need to maintain regular contacts to achieve practical results in the conducted work.
An important item on the agenda of the visit was to prepare for the international specialized exhibition "Expo-2017" in Astana.
Zhoshybayev thanked China for supporting Astana's candidacy to host "EXPO-2017" exhibition, stressing that the forthcoming exhibition will be held under the motto "Future Energy" and will contribute to the promotion and development of "green" power engineering. He expressed Kazakhstan's interest in examining the experience of resolving organizational issues of preparing for such a grand event, including the acquisition of equipment and technologies in the field of alternative power engineering.
The Chinese side appreciated the fact that Astana was chosen as a venue for holding the "EXPO-2017" exhibition, stressing that it is a recognition of Kazakhstan's achievements in the sphere of state-building and the development of a competitive economy.
