Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov will pay a working visit to Paris on September 19-20, the Central Communication Service under the Kazakh President reported on Monday.
Within the visit Akhmetov will discuss preparation for EXPO to be held in Astana in 2017 with Secretary-General of the International Exhibitions Bureau Vicente Lossertales.
Moreover, within the visit to France, Akhmetov will meet with Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Jose Angel Gurria Trevino. The parties will discuss prospects of Kazakhstan's joining the OECD.
"We stand for active work aimed at joining the OECD, which is the international economic organization of the most developed countries in the world. Membership in the OECD ensures access to advanced world standards, helps to improve the country's investment attractiveness and improves the system of public administration," spokesman for the Central Communication Service Altai Abibullaev said at a briefing.
Within the visit to Paris Kazakh Prime Minister will also meet with his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault.
The intensification of the Kazakh-French economic, industrial and innovation cooperation will be discussed within the meeting.
