BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 9. Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) states from January through October 2022 increased by more than 7 percent and reached $23 billion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, said in the framework of his visit to Kyrgyzstan for a final meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Trend reports citing the press service of the President.
The president added that achieving this result was made possible despite the harmful impact of external factors.
President Tokayev also spoke of the imposed quotas, prohibitions, and sanctions, which negatively affect trade relations between states. However, the President highly rated the cooperation between the member states of the economic bloc, and added that continued partnership in the framework of the organization “instills optimism”.
He also expressed his appreciation for large-scale joint projects being carried out and the increase of the share of national currencies in mutual settlements.
