BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Kazakhstan has put some quantitative restrictions on the export of certain livestock, Trend reports.

According to the Committee of State Revenues under the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, starting from June 23, 2023, following the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan No. 216, dated June 5, 2023, titled "On Some Issues of Exporting Livestock from the Territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan," quantitative restrictions are being imposed on the export of live large horned cattle in the amount of 60,000 bulls, as well as live sheep and goats in the amount of 120,000 lambs for a period of six months.

In accordance with the aforementioned order, the export of bulls and lambs from the country's territory will only be allowed with a veterinary certificate issued in accordance with the Rules for Issuing Veterinary Documents and Requirements for their Forms, approved by the minister of agriculture.

Furthermore, starting from June 30, 2023, a ban on the export of breeding stock of large and small horned cattle from the territory of Kazakhstan is being enforced. This decision was jointly issued by the minister of agriculture of Kazakhstan under Order No. 224 dated June 9, 2023, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan under Order No. 641 dated June 12, 2023, titled "On Some Issues of Exporting Livestock."
