ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 14. German Hansa Consortium is considering the possibility of building an aviation cargo hub in the Khorgos - Eastern Gate free economic zone (FEZ) in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
The management of the German company together with the SKYMAX TECHNOLOGIES Group of Companies LLP from Kazakhstan at a meeting with the management of the Khorgos - Eastern Gate Sfree economic zone, Zhetysu Invest LTD LLP and the FEZ ICBC Khorgos discussed the prospects for the development of infrastructure projects, in particular airfield solutions, construction and management of airports, also oil storage facilities for aviation, construction of food industry facilities.
In 2017, a project was launched to implement a cargo-passenger airport adjacent to the free economic zone. To date, 754 hectares have been reserved for the construction of the airport.
Free economic zone "Khorgos - Eastern Gate" is located in Kazakhstan on the border with China. On its territory there is the Altynkol freight railway station and the transport and logistics complex (dry port) KTZE-Khorgos Gateway.
