For Draper Fisher Jurvetson (a venture capital company), the Central Asian region and, in particular, the Kazakhstan market is of great interest, said co-founder of company and Draper University founder Tim Draper during a meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Trend reports.
During the meeting, issues of development of venture capital and the startup industry, as well as plans and promising areas for further cooperation were discussed.
Tokayev expressed gratitude to Tim Draper for his active participation at the Digital Bridge international forum. He welcomed the initiative to film one of the episodes of the famous reality show 'Meet the Drapers' in Kazakhstan.
As Draper noted, his company has extensive experience in developing venture capital.
In turn, Tokayev drew attention to the fact that a strong institutional, legal and financial basis for creating a venture capital market is being formed in Kazakhstan.
"Our country creates ample opportunities for international venture funds, such as Draper Fisher Jurvetson, to enter the market," he said.
