ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 30. Türkiye's imports from Kazakhstan amounted to $2.672 billion from January through September 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the Turkish Ministry of Trade shows that this figure exceeds the same period in 2022 ($2.46 billion) by 8.6 percent.
At the same time, in September, Türkiye’s imports from Kazakhstan amounted to $335 million, which is 8 percent lower than in September 2022 ($364 million).
In addition, Kazakhstan’s share in Türkiye’s imports for the nine months of 2023 amounted to 1 percent, and in September, it was 1.2 percent.
Thus, Kazakhstan took 19th place among the top exporters to Türkiye. The first three places are occupied by China, Russia, and Germany, respectively.
From January through September 2023, Türkiye's exports decreased by 0.3 percent and amounted to $187.46 billion, while imports increased by 1.3 percent and amounted to $274.75 billion.
In September alone, Türkiye's exports amounted to $22.67 billion, up 0.3 percent compared to September 2022. Imports, in turn, amounted to $27.658 billion, which is 14.1 percent less than September last year.
Trade turnover between Türkiye and Kazakhstan in 2022 amounted to $5.1 billion. Exports to Kazakhstan amounted to $1.6 billion; imports from Kazakhstan amounted to $3.5 billion.
