ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 17. The Nationwide Pool, established to effectively oversee and control the implementation of investment projects in Kazakhstan, includes around 1,000 projects valued more than $69 billion, said Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Samilov during the VI Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR), Trend reports.
To provide projects with high-quality infrastructure, a corresponding National Plan until 2029 is being developed.
In order to attract investment in complex oil and gas projects, a financial incentive mechanism has been introduced in Kazakhstan this year within the framework of the Improved Model Contract. For investment projects in priority sectors worth over $50 million, there is the possibility of concluding an Investment Agreement that guarantees the stability of Kazakhstani legislation for 25 years.
In addition, an Agreement on Investment Commitments was introduced in Kazakhstan, guaranteeing the stability of tax legislation for 10 years when investing more than $500 million.
As the PM noted, all these steps are aimed at unlocking the investment potential of the republic and achieving real results. Kazakhstan will make every effort to further improve the investment climate in accordance with international standards.
"We will also introduce additional support measures on a regular basis," Alikhan Smailov added.
Over the past years, KGIR has established itself as an effective dialogue platform for strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the international investment community.
This year, the agenda includes such topics as the use of innovative technologies, ensuring food security, developing transport and logistics potential, expanding export opportunities, etc.
The event was attended by representatives of the UK, Vietnam, Germany, Canada, Qatar, China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the US, Türkiye, France, Czech Republic and several other countries.
