ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 9. TotalEnergies' hydrocarbon production volume amounted to 2.483 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2023, Trend reports.
According to the company’s report for 2023, this is 2 percent higher than last year (excluding Novatek).
The company noted that the increase in production was mainly due to growth in some fields in various countries, as well as improved security conditions in Nigeria and Libya.
In addition to this, production growth by 1 percent was also contributed to by a decrease in planned maintenance and unscheduled shutdowns, including at the Kashagan field in Kazakhstan.
To note, the development of the supergiant Kashagan field is carried out by a joint operating company, North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC).
The joint company unites AgipCaspian Sea B.V., KMG Kashagan B.V., Total EP Kazakhstan, ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc., Shell Kazakhstan Development B.V., CNPC and Inpex.
Industrial production at this field began on September 11, 2013.
