ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 8. A number of documents have been signed between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan following the negotiations of the presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Trend reports via the Kazakh Presidential Administration.
The documents include:
- Joint Statement of the President of Kazakhstan and the President of Uzbekistan;
- Decision of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on further development of Kazakh-Uzbek bilateral cooperation;
- Decision of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council of of Kazakhstan and of Uzbekistan on the approval of the Regulations on the Council of Foreign Ministers.
Additionally, within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, the following documents were signed:
- Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on the regime of the Kazakh-Uzbek state border;
- Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on Border Crossing Points at the Kazakh-Uzbek State Border, dated September 4, 2006;
- Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on International Road Transport, dated March 20, 2006;
- Action Plan for Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan for 2024-2025;
- Agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan on Cooperation in Agriculture;
- Protocol of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan;
- Protocol on Cooperation in Natural Monopoly Regulation between the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan and the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan;
- Agreement between the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan on Cooperation in Health;
- Protocol of Cooperation between the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of Kazakhstan and the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan in the field of competition policy;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan on the Establishment of the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan Expert Council;
- Agreement of Understanding between the 'OtanDastar' Fund and the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan;
- Practical Action Plan (Roadmap) for Expanding Cooperation between Astana and Tashkent City Administrations in Trade-Economic, Investment, and Cultural-Humanitarian Spheres for 2025-2026.
