BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Kyrgyzstan is actively working on improving the audit sphere in order to achieve world standards, chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Akmatov said, Trend reports.

He spoke at the third "Dialogue on SDGs" on the theme "The results of the Global Summit on SDGs 2023 and the role of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the realization of SDGs".

He noted that Kyrgyzstan successfully cooperates in the field of audit with international partners, including Türkiye, and added that such partnerships with foreign countries contribute to strengthening international ties and creating a more favorable environment for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition, Akmatov emphasized that the fundamental principle in the development of Kyrgyzstan is the National Strategy of Kyrgyzstan for 2018–2040, which defines the priorities and objectives of the country's development in various areas, including the economy, social sphere, infrastructure, and environment.

Baku hosts the third Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Dialogue on the theme "Outcomes of the Global SDG Summit 2023 and the Role of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Implementation of the SDGs".

The dialogue is co-chaired by the Chairman of the National Coordination Council for Sustainable Development, the Supreme Audit Institution of Azerbaijan, and the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan.
