ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 2. A multifunctional warehouse complex of NMI-Yug LLP with an area of 5 hectares is being built on the territory of the transport and logistics center of Kazakhstan’s Shymkent, Trend reports.
According to Kazakhstan's government, the total cost of the project is 10.2 billion tenge (about $23.1 million).
The first stage of construction is planned to be completed this year, and construction and installation work are 90 percent complete.
The total area of the warehouse premises will be 22,000 square meters. After the completion of construction, 107 jobs will be created in the warehouse complex.
Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, who arrived on a visit to Shymkent, got acquainted with the progress of construction.
According to the founder of the company, Aizhan Naimbekova, this will be an A+ category warehouse with a flexible climate control system and the ability to adjust the temperature of refrigeration chambers from -18 to +4 degrees Celsius.
"This will ensure storage of the widest range of goods," she said.
Meanwhile, the Chinese investor is building the largest porcelain tile plant in Central Asia in Shymkent. The Wan Sheng Ceramics LLP plant is located in the Zhuldyz industrial zone in Shymkent.
The project's total investment is 25.5 billion tenge ($57 million). The Chinese investor owns the entire investment.
