BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. Tajikistan exported 66.1 tons of citrus fruits to Kyrgyzstan from January through December 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
During the reporting period, the value of the exports amounted $97,400, which is a decrease of almost three times from $256,100 or 191.3 tons of citrus in 2021.
Tajikistan did not import citrus from Kyrgyzstan last year, and some two tons were imported in 2021.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan, the country exported more than 191,000 tons of agricultural products in 2022.
Tajikistan exported agricultural products for $54.3 million in 2022, which is an increase of $17.6 million, compared to 2021.
More than 40 percent of total exports of agricultural products were vegetables - 76,600 tons, of which 66,600 tons were onions. Fruit exports accounted for 29 percent of the total volume or 54,500 tons.
Tajikistan produced agriculture for 49.3 billion somoni ($4.8 billion) in 2022, which is an increase of 8 percent compared to 2021.
