Bayramberdi Annayev was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Turkmengaz State Concern, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's decree says today.
Hudayberen Mammadov was dismissed from his position of deputy chairman in the Turkmengaz State Concern in connection with his transfer to another job, according to another decree.
Turkmenistan is one of the key natural gas suppliers in the Caspian region. It supplies gas to China, Russia and Iran. An additional gas pipeline to Russia (the Caspian Sea - through Kazakhstan), to Europe (via the Caspian Sea through Azerbaijan and Turkey) and India (Trans-Afghanistan - via Pakistan) are among projects being proposed.
Turkmengaz develops the gas and gas condensate fields, extracts gas and gas condensate, processes natural gas, transports gas, gas condensate and liquefied gas, sells gas for export, as well as within the country.
