A meeting was held in Ashgabat between Turkmen officials and Fujiya Koji, Director General of the Central Asia and the Caucasus Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
The sides discussed the priorities of bilateral cooperation in the areas of agriculture and health care.
The importance of training programs in JICA’s activity and their effectiveness for the training of specialists in various sectors of the economy and social sphere were stressed at the meeting.
Earlier it was reported that JICA expressed interest in cooperation with Turkmenistan on social projects.
The Turkmen government and JICA have been working together in the field of seismology for a long time.
