BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 9. Livestock breeders of the Balkan region of Turkmenistan are implementing a plan to increase livestock in the country, Trend reports citing the Turkmenistan Golden Age online newspaper.

Shepherds received livestock farms Gyzylarbat, Balkan, Gyzylbayyr out of 48,500 sheep received more than 44,200 lambs. The reason for the good offspring was that during the cold season the animals were transferred to stable maintenance and provision with a variety of feeds.

All the animals are under the vets’ control, while the stockbreeder’s duty is organized in the places where those animals are kept.

Agriculture is an important part of Turkmenistan's economy. Work is being carried out to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacture meat and dairy products, strengthen the feed base of the industry, and the improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
