Russian Wildberries weighs appearing in Turkmen market

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 5. One of the largest Russian Wildberries online platforms is considering entering the market of Turkmenistan, the founder of the platform Tatyana Bakalchuk told Russian media, Trend reports.

She believes that broadening the sales geography is critical to the company's long-term growth.

In addition to Turkmenistan, in terms of enlargement, we are discussing the CIS countries bordering Russia, including Tajikistan.

Wildberries is currently installing infrastructure in Azerbaijan, and it is already operational in Russia and other Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.

"Furthermore, we are discussing not only Central Asian countries, but also those in the Persian Gulf, including the UAE," she said.

Meanwhile, Wildberries is a well-known online shopping platform that started in Russia and has since expanded its reach abroad.

Launched in 2004, it has become one of the largest e-commerce players in the region, offering a diverse range of products, including clothing, electronics, beauty products, and more.
