Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan expanding air traffic

New regular flights were organized in accordance with the agreement between the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan dated May this year, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbek transport ministry.

According to the ministry, regular flights on Samarkand - Almaty and Turkestan – Tashkent routes have been launched.

It is noted that Uzbekistan Airways and Kazakh Air Astana each will operate flights two times a week on the Samarkand - Almaty - Samarkand route.

At the same time, Fly Arystan, a member of Air Astana, will operate flights two times a week in the direction of Turkestan - Tashkent – Turkestan.

Since the restoration of regular flights between the two countries, regular passenger flights have been operated on the Tashkent-Almaty route (seven times a week) Tashkent-Nur-Sultan (three times a week) by Uzbekistan Airways and Air Astana airlines, observing strict sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

In addition, regular flights are carried out by Uzbekistan Airways and SKAT Airlines on the Urgench - Aktau - Urgench route (two times a week) and by SKAT Airlines on the Aktau - Nukus - Aktau route (once a week).
