Uzbekistan’s industrial output for 5M2021 revealed

Uzbek enterprises in 5M52021 produced industrial products worth 160 trillion soums ($15.1 billion) with the index of the physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2020 amounting to 8.2 percent, Trend reports citing State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In the structure of production, the largest share for the reporting period fell on manufacturing enterprises (81.6 percent), the volume of production of which amounted to 130.5 trillion soum ($12.3 billion).

It is noted that the main factors of growth in the physical volume of industrial production were its increase in the mining industry - by 2.7 percent, in the manufacturing industry - by 9.6 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 13.1 percent, in water supply, sewerage, collection and disposal of waste - by 3.8 percent.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 2.5 percent (1.6 percent in January-May 2020), medium-high-tech - 20.4 percent (24.6 percent), medium-low-tech - 40.6 percent (38.6 percent) and low-tech - 36.5 percent (35.2 percent).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products amounted to 17.5 percent (the physical volume index amounted to 5.3 percent against 5M2020), the metallurgical industry - 27.6 percent (11.7 percent), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 18.2 percent (22. percent), for the production of food, drinks and tobacco products - 15.9 percent (6.5 percent), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.4 percent (9.7 percent).

The change in industrial production was significantly influenced by the growth in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Kashkadarya (27.4 percent against 5M2020), Syrdarya (23.7 percent), Jizzakh (19.1 percent), Samarkand (10.9 percent) regions and Tashkent city (17.9 percent).

In the structure of the industrial output of the country, the largest share fell on the enterprises of Tashkent (17.8 percent), Tashkent (18.7 percent), Navoi (18.0 percent), Andijan (7.7 percent) and Fergana (5.6 percent) regions.

The smallest share of industrial production was recorded at the enterprises of Surkhandarya (1.3 percent) and Jizzakh (1.6 percent) regions.

Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average ($435,110) in Navoi ($2.7 billion), Tashkent ($945,892), Syrdarya ($416,192) regions and the city of Tashkent ($993,187).
