TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 27. Uzbekistan's trade turnover with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached $7.4 billion from January through June 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR), the trade turnover increased by 6.4 percent compared to the same period in 2022. The country's exports to EAEU amounted to $2.4 billion, while imports accounted for $5 billion.
An increase was recorded in Uzbekistan's trade with Russia, as the bilateral trade turnover grew by 8.8 percent year-on-year and reached $4.4 billion. Exports to Russia stood at $1.3 billion, while imports from Russia stood at $3.1 billion.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan's trade with Kazakhstan increased 4 percent year-on-year, amounting to $2.2 billion. The country exported goods worth $699 million to Kazakhstan, while the imported goods - $1.5 billion.
Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with Kyrgyzstan amounted to $484 million from January through June 2023. Uzbekistan's exports equaled $350 million, and its imports from Kyrgyzstan were $134 million.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus amounted to $297 million, increasing 45 percent year-on-year. Uzbekistan exported goods worth $68 million to Belarus and imported goods for $229 million from the country.
In 2022, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached $15.7 billion. Exports from Uzbekistan to the EAEU countries in this period amounted to $5.5 billion, while imports – were $10.1 billion.
