TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 22. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries amounted to $6.9 billion from January through May 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 7.8 percent year-on-year ($6.4 billion in January–May 2023).
The volume of exports to EAEU countries reached $2.1 billion, which shows 10.5 percent growth compared to the same period last year ($1.9 billion in January–May 2023).
Uzbekistan’s imports from EAEU countries totaled $4.8 billion during this period. This indicator has increased by 6.6 percent over the past year ($4.5 billion in January–May 2023).
Foreign trade turnover with Russia amounted to $4.7 billion, Kazakhstan - $1.5 billion, Kyrgyzstan - $294.3 million, Belarus - $265.2 million, and Armenia - $8.7 million.
The share of EAEU countries in the total volume of foreign trade turnover amounted to 25.9 percent.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $26.7 billion from January through May 2024. This figure indicates a 3 percent growth year-on-year ($25.9 billion in January–May 2023).
Uzbekistan's exports reached $10.8 billion, while imports totaled $15.9 billion during this period.
