Iran-Japan chambers of commerce to hold joint seminar

A joint seminar of Iran and Japan chambers of commerce will be held in Tokyo next Thursday and Friday ( May 28-29), Iran's embassy in Japan reported on Thursday.

According to IRNA, Mohammad Nahavandian, chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Mines along with his deputies and a number of top company managers as well as Toshio Nakamura President of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will attend the seminar.

Iran-Japan trade is in a good level and the sides' trade volume in 2008 touched $20 billion. After Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Iran is Japan's third oil supplier. 

During his stay in Japan, Nahavandian will hold meetings with some high ranking Japanese economic officials like Yasuo Hayashi Chairman and CEO of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Iranian businessmen in Japan, and Professor Mohammad Naqizadeh, an Iranian economist who lives in Japan.

He will also attend the Iran-Japan Joint Economic Commission as well as a press conference.
