TEHRAN (MEHR - Trend )
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Pakistani counterpart on Saturday finally signed the final agreement on the shipment of Iran's gas to Pakistan.
The signing took place on the sidelines of a summit meeting between the presidents of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan in Sadabad Palace in northern Tehran.
The Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline project, also known as the peace pipeline, runs for 2,775 kilometers to deliver natural gas from Iran to Pakistan and India.
India had been part of the $7 billion project, but stayed away from talks in September saying it wanted to agree transit costs through Pakistan on a bilateral basis first.
