Iran ready for talks for talks with EU official
Iran's Chief Nuclear Negotiator Saeid Jalili would be ready to meet with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton , Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted as saying by IribNews.
Mehmanparast added that the time and venue still to be determined, and reiterated that Iran would only discuss its nuclear issues with the world nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), "but was ready to listen to whatever Mrs Ashton has to say."
There was a new formula for uranium exchange proposed by Turkey and Brazil and details of the proposal are under discussion, he added.
"We think that it is possible to implement the new formula on the uranium exchange and addressing a few questions, we come closer to a serious agreement on this issue and continue discussion of this agreement," Mehmanparast said.
Mehmanparast noted that the continuation of negotiations on the uranium exchange will be carried out during the Turkish prime minister's and the Brazilian president's visits to Iran.
