Iran condemns discretion of Holy Quran by U.S. forces
Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned discretion of Holy Quran in Afghanistan's Bagramair base by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forecs, calling the measure "derogatory", ISNA reported
"One more again, another instance of violating human rights and international rules occurred in Afghanistan by foreign military forces," the ministry said in a statement.
"This is not the first time that the U.S. and NATO forces are violating international rules in Afghanistan. The Islamic Republic of Iran condemns discretion of Holy Quran by foreign military forces in Afghanistan," the statement read.
Withdrawal of foreign forces is the only way to establish peace, calm and stability to Afghanistan, the statement read adding any measure which could extend presence of the forces in Afghanistan including the strategic treaty between the U.S. and Afghanistan is an element which escalates unrests in Afghanistan and should be considered as a serious threat for the region.
Also Lebanese Hezbollah condemned the measure by foreign forces in Afghanistan.
