Iranian ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has transferred some $6.45 million (based on official rate of 24,800 rials per each USD) from Iranian president's bank account to his private university's bank account, Iranian Bahar newspaper reported citing an "informed" source.

According to the newspaper, the money has been transferred to private "Iranian" university's bank account on August 4 - the same day as Hassan Rouhani was inaugurated as country's new president.

The newspaper argued that, when the money has been transferred, Ahmadinejad was no longer officially a president, which means the money transfer was illegal.

In the other words Ahmadinejad has transferred $6.45 million to his university's account when he no longer had presidential responsibilities.

The newspaper also published the details of the transaction, bringing up the account of the "Iranian" university's account - 4701686495, registered at Iran's Bank Mellat.

It was also noted in the newspaper's article that the officials from the university kept silent about the deal, not confirming or denying the information.

It should be recalled that, On August 3, Rouhani met with the Iran's supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who officially endorsed Hassan Rouhani as the country's new president, so on August 4 - the date which money was transferred - Rouhani officially became Iran's president.

It should be recalled that, Ahmadinejad has decided to establish university in capital city of Tehran. The country's Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution has accepted Ahmadinejad`s application to establish the university.

Ahmadinejad later appointed his fellow-workers to new posts at his university. Ex-minister of economy and finance Shamsaddin Hosseini, and ex-head of Iranian presidential administration Hamid Baghaee have been appointed as deputies in the university.

Ahmadinejad also appointed his ex-Vice president in planning Behrouz Moradi to a post. The ex-president himself was said to devote most of his time to the university.

There were some reports published about Iranian Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution not approving the list of university founders because of such people as Esfandiyar Mashaei and Hamid Baghaee being on it, who were previously criticized by conservatives and religious leaders of Iran.
