Deputy FM: Iranˈs ties with PG states ever growing

Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Tuesday that Tehranˈs relations with each of the Persian Gulf littoral states is ˈon the road to progressˈ, IRNA reported.

"The pace the joint commission sessions are held is a sign of growing cooperation between Iran and the countries," said Abdollahian in an interview with IRNA.

Abdollahian said close stances and cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh in issues concerning Muslim world, due to be raised in the upcoming foreign ministers meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Guinea Conakry, is topic of our concern.

He said constructive views of both sides fall in the course of development and consolidation of bilateral and multilateral relations in the Persian Gulf.

"Recent visit of (Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad) Zarif to the Persian Gulf states indicates the Islamic Republic of Iranˈs endeavor to forge bilateral and collective cooperation on regional level."

As for effective measures of Iraq army in combating terrorism, Abdollahian said such measures of Iraq army would contribute to security of the country and of the region.

Abdollahian said terrorists would have no room in future of the region.

"We are confident that all Iraqi leaders welcome categorical campaign against terrorism and full restoration of security in entire parts of the country," said Abdollahian.

Iraq continues moving in path of progress in light of national unity thanks to vigilance of all its political and religious leaders, he concluded.
