Iran, Vietnam discuss nuclear issue, regional developments

(www.irna.ir) вЂ" Iranian Ambassador to Hanoi Hossein Molla Abdollahi in a meeting with the country's parliament speaker, Neguyen Pho Trong, here Wednesday briefed him on Iran's nuclear issue as well as the latest developments in the Middle and Persian Gulf.

At the end of his diplomatic mission, Molla Abdollahi presented a report on the activities conducted during his term in office in various political, economic, parliamentary and cultural fields aimed at expanding bilateral relations, reports Trend.

Meanwhile, he congratulated Vietnamese people and government on the achievements made in political, economic and social domains.

For his part, Neguyen referred to Iran-Vietnam friendly relations and expressed the will of his country to use the experiences of friendly countries, such as Iran, in the process of planned industrialization and modernization by 2020.

Declaring the constant support of Majlis for Vietnamese parliament, he said that Iran is interested in further bolstering inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The Vietnamese speaker conveyed his warmest greetings to his Iranian counterpart and invited him to visit the country.

Concerning Iran's nuclear issue, he said that as a country having been through war, Vietnam is seeking peace and stability.

"Vietnam hopes that the parties involved in Iran's nuclear issue will come up with a peaceful solution to the current crisis through political talks," he concluded.
