The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line (IRISL) and Norway’s Skuld Protection & Indemnity (P&I insurance) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the shipping insurance.
The deal envisages cooperation on marine insurance and insurance complaints as well as training and updating capabilities and knowledge of Iranian experts, Iran's MANA news agency reported Aug. 18.
Iran and Norway also signed three memorandums of understanding to cooperate in finance sector on the sidelines of a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Norwegian counterpart Boerge Brende in Tehran Aug. 17.
In his one-day trip to Tehran, Brende met with senior Iranian officials, including President Hassan Rouhani, the parliament speaker Ali Larijani, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani.
