On the first day of February, stocks crumpled at Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), with the main index plunging 560.5 points or 0.72 percent to end the trading day at 77414.9.
According to the TSE official website, 1.488 billion shares valued at $61.6 million (1.9 trillion rials) changed hands for the day.
The Price Index was down 196.1 points or 0.72 percent to stand at 27090.7.
The First Market Index shed 473.6 points or 0.86 percent to post 54772.5.
The Second Market Index lost 767.8 points or 0.46 percent to reach 165745.2.
The Industry Index gave up 156.6 points or 0.24 percent to register 66318.6.
The TSE 30 Index declined 35.7 points or 1.13 percent to close at 3116.6, while the TSE 50 Index slumped 25.9 points or 0.84 percent to finish at 3042.2.
