Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has described the possible decision by the US on walking away from the Joint Comprehensive Plan on Action (JCPOA aka nuclear deal) as a major strategic mistake.
“I clearly state that would be a major strategic mistake if the US walks away from the JCPOA,” President Rouhani told a group of ambassadors in Tehran, State-run broadcaster aired live his speech.
The president further expressed hope that the landmark agreement will remain intact and it will turn into a sample for resolving regional and international problems.
The 2015 nuclear pact between Tehran and the six major powers lifted nuclear-related sanctions on the Islamic Republic in exchange for curbing its nuclear program.
